well, its the same ATAPI IDE drive, so that cost would be the same. to
connect to the standard IDE port you'd need a 2.5"->Dual 3.5" IDE splitter
cable...and the power drain on the A1200 PSU may be beyond what it can do,
do just an AT PSU (same as older PC's) would do fine...these are getting
more difficult to find...but once again, they dont need to be in a tower,
they can just sit on a desk (or screwed under the desk!), connect one of
the power connectors to the CDR..
one thing i WOULD suggest (and several people will probably bring this up
too) is that you invest in one of those IDE buffer systems...this would
stop the expense of the 2.5-3.5 splitter (about 3-5 ukp) but would cost
about 15-20 ukp. the PSUs , well, they can be got out of old PC's (check
local paper for someone almost binning an old 486 machine) or bought new
(for about 20-25 ukp)
